add attribute:
in order to put products on the homepage based on a custom attribute, you need a block, a template file, and a little bit of css markup. I have attached two files, Homepage.php and homepage.phtml. Homepage.php should be placed in app/code/core/Mage/Catalog/Block/Product/ and homepage.phtml should be placed in app/design/frontend/[your package]/[your theme]/template/catalog/product/. Homepage.php is based off of the new product block but instead of looking for a date period it looks for a custom attribute called home_page_featured? which leads me to the next step: creating the custom attribute. Create an attribute called home_page_featured?of the yes/no variety and add this to your default attribute group. You may choose whatever attribute label you wish. Now when you edit a product there will be a yes/no option for this attribute. Set the products that you want to appear on the homepage as yes.

　　这种方法应该是站长和SEO人员应用最广最广泛的方式之一，以前的确很有效，不过现在搜索引擎对互惠的链接已经不是那么重视了，matt cutts在接受美国今日访谈的节目时曾经说过，现在谷歌更喜欢那种单向链接，就是别人主动单方面链接你，就是我们常说的单链，这就是为什么有的人交换友 情链接后又删除的原因了，这样就形成了单链。

　　2、提交分类目录

　　做国内SEO的朋友对这方面可能不是很熟悉，一是国内的中文分类目录不是很多，也不常用；二是国内一般都是互惠链接，即使是垃圾站都需要你先挂 上他的链接几个月审核才有可能被收录，而对于一些有名的人工审核的目录更是不可能轻易被收录。但做国外SEO的朋友可能对分类就比较熟悉了，因为国外的单 向链接很多，即便是互惠成功率也比国内高很多，同时国外的分类目录站采用比较规范某一格式一搜索就是多少(其中很多都是seo人员优化的时候建立的)，但 是现在分类目录的权重不如以前高了，虽然谷歌并未说降低分类的权重，但通过实际分析，谷歌的话有些时候也不是那么值得信任的。

　　3、登陆搜索引擎

　　这种一般用软件来做，比如国内的登录奇兵等，现在已经失效了，一下子就登陆了几百个搜索引擎，其实效果已经几乎为0了，不过很多初级用户还在使 用，有些人在算这个逻辑，一个搜索引擎一天哪怕给我来个5个、10个IP 加起来也不少了，实际情况是95%以上的搜索引擎是一个IP都不能给你带来，所以你做的工作基本上是白费。有的人认为登陆的越多越好，这样做不但不会被搜 索引擎收录，还可能让搜索引擎删除。

　　4、购买付费链接

　　一般行业购买付费链接不多，但对于有些行业这基本成了必须做的，虽然谷歌对这个惩罚很严厉，但对国内的百度之类的搜索引擎见效还是非常快的，我 现在指的是明链并不是黑客SEO卖的页面隐藏链接，那种不要购买，如果实施了这样链接策略，短时间可以起到一定的作用，但是最终还是会被百度降权或删除 的。

　　5、留言

　　使用纯粹留言本程序一般都是些企业站，不过留言本的效果已经很差了，所以现在很多企业站都改用评论留言，包括博客、文章站、论坛等，这种方式还 是可以的，但如果你单纯为了提高自己网站排名，你就要看看别人加了nofollow标签没，否则你的工作可能针对谷歌来说就是白做了，但是对于国内的百度 任然是有效的，这就是为什么很多黑帽SEO做垃圾站仍然使用留言薄群发，对于百度nofollow标签根本不起作用。
